Question.
The 311B rods from the type 1.

What has to be done to compensate for the different thickness of these rods?
Is there a special bearing to use them with the type 4 crank?

I have the right pistons/cylinders for this, just curious about the width issue.

Usually they're 311B sized but are actually aftermarket forged H or I beams, not stockers. They're used in the "stroker" engines with a 1.7/1.8 crank whose journals have been welded and ground to fit. Then all you need are TIV sized pistons with 22mm pins and voila, 2270cc's with lots lower rotating mass.

Yep it's the crank journal has been made to fit the T1 rod.

5.4" CB rods, they need to be cleared to fit strokers.

Seems odd that no one has made a bearing that would work...
Shoulders would do it...and thick...lol
