Full Version: Need tip to stop the leak
Dumb question: How do I stop the "Taco" plate from leaking? It's not a sending unit plate, just a plate. It's flat, new o-ring, new crush washers. Still seeps a bit.
Drain the oil from the engine.

Whatever you do don't tighten it too tight. It will bend and then it's impossible to seal. Next time you have it off check it to make sure the mating surface is level.

what he said ^^^^plus, put some sealant around the o-ring and around the 2 bolt holes before you put it back in ...
