I have a spare seat that I need to modify to fit my back. Long story short, I broke my back at T11 vertabrae 2.5 years ago and now have a kink in my spine where titanium paltes and screw are holding it together. This causes a pressure point that gets fairly painful on long drives in the car.

Here's what I'd like to do - have thin molded foam like in F1 or indy seats formed to the new curve of my back and then padded and recovered.

Any one have a suggestion or reference to someplace in San Diego or LA area that could help me with this little project??

Remember that TLS brace you wore back in 71? The Plastic clam shell that fit front to back from neck to hips. If you still have and fit it, that can be incoorperated into the seak back. Otherwise, see the prostetic department at UCSD to see if they can make one for you.
