I want to install a 914 tach in my Ghia and I need to know the pinout for the tach. Yes, I have a wiring diagram, but I don't need any of the lights and indicators in the tach. I just need to know where to connect the lead from the - side of the coil, and I assume the tach also needs 12V at one of the pins. Also, is there any difference electrically between early and late tachs?

Thanks.

There are markings on the unit. + is positive, - is negative and the other one is the signal. wink.gif

Excellent, thanks. I don't have one in hand yet and I wanted to make sure it was straightforward before I bought one. Apparently it is!

Cheers,
Zach
