anyone out there know what the ohms are for a 73 914 fuel tank sending unit Im changing the gauges and wanted to get the right gauge rated for the ohmage

I searched for "+fuel +gauge +ohms" and found a few threads stating 0-90 ohms, but also this thread where James Montebello (RIP sad.gif ) states it's 5-75 ohms. I trust James a WHOLE LOT!

A 0-90 ohm gauge probably wont read exactly right. It will probably not show all the way full and the tank will be empty before gauge shows it. Pull your sender out and measure as you move the float. James Montebello in the thread that McMark posted says these readings may be +/- 10 ohms.
