I know this is a tired old subject...

Does anyone know how to set Outlook to only recieve mail from contacts in your address book and send the rest of incoming mail to the trash or other directory?

At home, I use Outlook and earthlink. Earthlink has a really good spaminator that works great. No more checking for email and seeing the most disgusting porn email I've ever seen (pictures).

Anyways, at work I've got Outlook and dsl.net for our service. I can't change my email for work, and I get at least 1 spam every minute of the day.

It's making me a bit mad. ar15.gif Suggestions?

I think I can make a few suggestions. I use Lotus Notes as our email system here at work. I've done years of administration with just about all email systems made. Here is what I suggest. The number one product to stop spam on interprise mail systems is MailSweeper, made by these good people >>>> www.clearswift.com
Nothing made even compares.... trust me BTDT

My next suggestion is to get the MailSweeper for SMTP gateway to protect your system. It is slightly expensive, but at the cost of a frivious employee sexual harrassment lawsuit, system down time its pale in comparison. I funnel approx 14,000 internet emails a day through my system and it stops 99% of all spam, porn, malicious html code, dangerous file attachments and inappropriate language and inapproriate images
(ImageManager---clearswift software plugin). This part is extra if you want it.

The package reaches down 50 levels into every email, so the spammers don't have a prayer hiding something.

This might be more than you want, but thought I'd offer something instead of nothing

I'll look into that. Thanks Steve

Norton NIS 2004 has this option. You can have any mail that isn't on your contact list dropped into the "Norton Spam" folder and either review it later or delete it.

There is also Querb. I downloaded it off the C net site. It's a test version. Puts all emails that aren't in your address floder into a seperate folder which you can deleat at the touch of the mouse. Full version is $29.
