What are the type numbers or designations that would be found on a transaxle that is equipped with a factory installed limited slip ?
Any info is appreciated.

Hello
Thank you for the response.
Your info verifies what I see on two transaxles.
As you know there are other telling features as well.
Thanks again

I haven't seen it myself, but Brad Mayeur had told me that LSD transmissions have/had an aluminum tag under one of the nuts for the side cover.

Hello Perry
I just recognized your name.
We spoke a while ago about the left quarter that I hoped to buy back.
Better that you refused, I got that quarter and a whole lot more.
Sometimes patience pays.

well I would figure being 32 years old my tag is gone. is there a stamping or other designation that would be a way of ID a LSD.

I have just dumped the clutch (in 2nd gear) and both tires light up.

You gota love V-8 power.

If you see HB on the bottom rib of the case it is, or was a ltd. slip. I just got that info myself.
With both rear wheels off the ground in neutral hand brake off, spin one wheel, if the other wheel goes in the same direction it is a ltd. slip. If it goes in the other direction it is a standard diff.
