I have passed 3 959's this week in Santa Cruz - I have never seen one in person until this week. Bruce Canepa is federalizing a bunch of these cars in Scotts Valley. I chased one up Highway One towards Davenport - Very cool cars.

I loved reading that article...the best part are the stats of the federalized Canepa car: 575 HP and 525 TQ, 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reaches 100 mph in 11.4 seconds, top speed of 215.

Yowza, that's a fast old car

And it only took the combined legal might of Bill Gates(Microsoft cofounder), Paul Allen(other Microsoft cofounder), Otis Chandler(media mogul of L.A. Times fame) and Ralph Lauren(yeah, that Ralph Lauren) and 15 years to get it legalized and STILL it can spank just about every other car on the road.
