Should be nearly broke in coming as a turn key motor.
I certainly am loving my 2316.
I always get a kick out of someone aking what did it cost?
Rather what components did you get.
2270 Torquer
Looks to be Tangerine with nice muffler
Ignition???
Induction???
That's what we can guess the price with.
Heck the extras I have on my engine pretty much double what the kit cost.
Tangerine
All Mallory
44IDF webers
Aeroquip oil lines big ass oil cooler
all the labor of getting the tin straight and painted
I already had 44IDFs on the old grenade. Jake sent them to Art Thrane for freshening, so that saved me a little $$ which was promptly "invested"
in a Tangerine 1 5/8" with stage 2 silencer and heat exchanger kit. While I was at it, I bought stainless steel fuel lines for the center tunnel and the new crankcase breather setup that Tangerine also offers. The 2270 Torquer won't work without that exhaust, BTW. The new cylinder heads really flow and need an exhaust that will handle the volume. I've also purchased a 2qt Accusump so that I can keep healthy oil pressures while on track, and a big ass oil cooler (Setrab 920 series w/electric fans). New gauges for EGT and CHT, new quad gauge for the dash (moved everything from center console to dash, EGT and CHT will go in center console).
And as long as I was doing all this other stuff, I took my gas tank to a local place and had it boiled (or whatever they do) to clean out all the crap and then it was repainted (more bling). New fuel pump. There was a problem with the low-beam headlights I'm still chasing, but that will be fixed too. I also need to rebuild/repair/replace my passenger outer door handle and the driver inner door handle. I'm seriously considering a JWest shifter.
Jake did the break-in on his engine dyno. He said there might be some fiddling with the carbs once I get everything together and depending on the weather but he will walk me through all of that when the time comes...
