It is 12V and terminates at fuse 9 at the fuse block under the dash. Power to the indicators on the back of the tach are wired in series. The wire from the fuse block should attach to the generator charge indicator light then jump to the low fuel warning light then jump to the fuel gauge then jump to the oil pressure indicator light and finally to pin 15 on the back of the tach itself. Pin 1 of the tach should have a red only wire that is unfused and originates at the battery. Seems goofy to me but, it's worked for 34 years. Page 180 in the Haynes manual.

Krusty sure could be right. Haynes doesn't show the cat light in the wiring diagram but, the light is there in a 75.
