Hey all,

I'm not getting the proper voltage readout on my console voltmeter--it reads lower than my actual charge to the battery (like 10 or something). I haven't checked the wire to the meter to see what I've got going to the gauge yet. Anywhere else I might check?

Its more likely the ground to the meter...

Or something in the lengthy (+) path through the fuse panel, the ignition switch, etc.

"They all do that." Maybe not to that extent, but all the stock voltmeters do that. For more grins, look at it while the turn signal is on...

Thanks! I figured it was probably some gremlin somewhere... Maybe I can stick a tick-mark on the glass for reference...

Wire (temporarily) it straight to the battery to see if it gets an accurate read. If not, time to give the gauge the float test....

FYI.. Reading the volt meter in a 914 should be done the same way you read the National Inquirer.

It is highly entertaining, but bears no relationship to reality.

Thats not really a volt meter , it's a brake light safety meter.

Arrest take a long drive and keep your eyes glued
to the stock temp guage!
