Oh, it's a sick color, it's just from a Lowes spray can!

I've narrowed it down on colors, it's either gonna be black, Dark Grey, or Orange. If I go Signal Orange (to match my Dad's) he'll give me a 2.0liter Six instead of the 2 I have now.
SGB
Well then for YOU, Orange is faster.

Silly rabbit, everyone knows yellow is faster. biggrin.gif

I make a big mistake and sprayed my fenders with some odd colored touch up paint. When I sprayed over it with real primer, it reacted and turned into wrinkles. I ended up spending a fair amount of time sanding it all off.

Roy G. Biv would disagree. wink.gif

And he didn't even paint the tire!
I'd go with the free motor color.

wet sand that color with some 320, take a rattle can of clear and sray it over the blue. Let it dry for a couple of day's and wet sand the clear with 1000grit and then buff. ( just for $hits and gigles)

You'd be supprised how it will look.

agree.gif There's a guy somewhere on the internets who painted a Corvair with Rustoleum and a roller, and it looks pretty awesome.

The Epic Rustoleum thread.
(Dodge Charger, and a VW Bug from the OP, lots of other guys who tried it later.)

The thread is LONG.

+1 for the free motor color. You can always repaint it again later. biggrin.gif

That brings me to my, "Newbie Question of the Day"...

Would you rather have a car with more power? Or a car where you chose the color?

More power. That's how I chose my 911.

It just so happens that I like the color too. Even though it isn't orange.
