after reading some of the "rules" governing tech inspection and what not here... it would seem that our "tech inspections" for ax are a bit more forgiving with regards to modifications. does anyone think we will get hammered like the out of state interlopers that we will be? say a cracked windshield that does not impeede your vision, or a battery hold down strap.

i've never had a SCCA inspector question my windscreen, with its crack from A-pillar to A-pillar.

the battery must be -secure- -- it's up to you to make that happen somehow. they don't care how.

Kevin, if you thought Bremerton was lax on inspections, go to Portland (on the right day laugh.gif ). They ask if your car is going to break, and if no, sigh the waiver...
Brad Roberts
They will probably let the windshield slide, but flying battery's cause fires. Lock it down. One piece of 2 inch wide thin sheel metal and a single hole in the chassis above the battery and two holes in the sheet metal...voila.. battery strap for 5$

That's gonna change this year it sounds like. We have 2 inspectors on line with diamond plate clipboards & pencils that never need sharpening laugh.gif
Well... not that drastic but we are gonna have 2 inspectors actually checking the cars along with torquing the nuts (lug that is) wink.gif
