For the first time, a 914 was judged best of class in competition with six beautiful 356 models. FINALLY people are seeing the beauty of the 914!
Great weekend many people stopped and intently looked at the car and everyone loved it even with the white and orange color scheme!

Funny,
At the annual NER PCA concours one year, there was only one 914 and about ten 356's...
the 914 was special with I think 17k on the clock...documented, original, etc etc...and it was really clean.
Because there was only one 914, they put it in the 356 class.
It won.
the 356 guys were in such an uproar that they have not come to the event since...really a shame to have a concours, at a car museum, and every year only one or two 356's show up and I am typically driving one of them...a damn shame...

George,
You REALLY need to post some pics.
We've been part-time residents on HHI for way over 25 years, but somehow always miss this event.
Went there ONCE in the 914 - high summer - too much heat! I could say the exact same thing for New Orleans - kidneys were turned to puree!

You know posting such big photos leaves you vulnerable to critique. I am exstatic to see the fog lamp insert properly oriented on your dash!

yup that is the exact style of factory carpet we are making. Of course the limited edition has a NOS kit installed, but our repro looks just like it.

Those photos shocked me as well!!!!
One would think that such a so called "perfectly prepared car" would not have the following obviously flaws!
1. Em brake needs touchup and a new all black button
2. Glove box vinyl needs to be rolled around the lower lip of the door
3. Speaker grilles need the black screen installed
4. Horn pad needs a touch up
5. Owner needs to get the proper stripes that lap over the fender lips

good!!!!!! That is how those so called "factory" 2.0 stock Dansk mufflers come these days. A nice "downtown" touch! We beggers cannot be choosers these days! Oh for the old days of being to be able to purchase every 914 part new one wanted to afford!!!!!!!

George, where was the event held? Damn nice LE, ny the way.
Recently sold the place on North Forest Beach & hated doing it, but people are still paying stupid prices down there.
PM me about the cycle, if it's available. May have some interest.
