That's the good Dr.'s 914-8

I had never noticed the slightly flared fenders or the round driver's side mirror on the 914-8.

yep....love the subtle flares on that car....

On one of my many trips to Germany across the channel I met one of the test drivers during the 914 development and I asked to have a sit in the 914-8 see below.

This is probably that car shown...................

Wow, the wheel arches are much more pronounced in the new picture from behind

Been a little while since I have seen a picture with prototype bumpers, front cowl, windshield, top etc. Look wierd.

This may sound like I'm jealous (yes I am), but that front end is just plain butt ugly, sorta like your ugly sister (weren't they all).

I'd be willing to take one for a reasonable price, but would always cover the front with a bra.

Seriously though, could you imagine a 908 motor in one of our cars? The sound of it, not to mention the power! Of course the good Doctor had an abundance of top notch mechanics to do the tune up's. The valve adjustments alone would be horrific.
