I just was given a 73, no rust , no targa but plenty of potential.
My question is it has small holes running down both sides of the body, looks like the trim holes on a bug . Has anyone seen this before? There is also a shadow of the word "spyder on the sail material. Any help would be app. before I fill these holes.

I've seen a number of 914s with (dealer-applied, I'm pretty sure) trim strips on the sides of the car. Sounds like yours used to be another one.
Similarly, I would expect the "Spyder" tag to have been added either by the dealer or a PO.
