The backpad hole where the interior light fits has developed soft/worn edges which keeps the light from snapping in and remaining in position.
Is there a simple common solution that you all have found/developed over the years?
Thanks in advance.

Can you bend the springy clips back out?

I just take the center section apart from the right and left sections and have my upholstery guy fill in the hole and recover the whole section with new material.

Oh yeah, my upholstry guy.
Um, maybe it could be reinforced with fiberglass resin.... I'm kinda thinking out loud here.

A little fiberglass was what I was thinking too. Thanks for the suggestions.
