Try visiting you local auto paint store; what your looking for is Butyl tape (really a rope shape).

Thanks, but I was looking for the original material. Comparing the butyl material to the original heated material. They are different. The original material actually looks like the material almost vulcanizes.

They do not make the original material any longer.

A final answer! I figured as much but was hoping. If anyone has any NOS let me know!
