I was a little bored last night (waiting for my engine parts to come in) so I took my spare rim and through it in the glass beader. I blasted it clean, looked at it and thought, what would it look like if I polished the spokes and outer rim? Here is what I ended up with. I don't know if I like it better than all matt finish but it does stand out.
What have you done to your rims to dress them up?

I thought of that but the round transition will be hard to get a nice clean edge all the way around...unless someone has any suggestions other than turning them on a lathe. wacko.gif

Polish the rim and spokes first, mask them with duct tape then bead blast. You could maybe lay the tape on then cut it with a razor blade. Bead blasting the edge of the tape may feather the edge. Dave H
