It will have come packed.
You do want to lube the contact points lightly.

A new 914 throw out bearing for the clutch will come with grease packed inside(you can't repack it). You should clean the guide tube on the transmission, replace the plastic pivot bushing on the fork, make sure you have the two plastic ends that fit the bearing in the fork fingers, and put some wheel bearing style grease on the guide tube and you'll see a grove in the inside edge of the bearing for some grease. That way the bearing will move smoothly over the guide tube when you engage the clutch!

I kinda thought it was pre-packed. I replaced all the related pieces and cleaned up the fork. I greased the shaft...ahem...and I could feel the bearing catching on something slightly. I'm not sure what that is.
