What are people replacing their worn out paper heater tubes in the longs with. Reproductions, aluminum or steel tubes? Haven't measured the tubes yet but I remember seeing a post where a member replaced it with a steel or aluminum tube. Just wanted to know if anyone knows the post or if they know the size of tube/piping and the material type.
Thanks
Alex

That is a MUFFLER in side of the longitudinal! If you do not replace it with a like part you will have excessive engine noise into the cockpit!

You have to scrounge one from a donor usually.

Would a spiral wire reinforced fabric tube material work? Similar to the flexible heater tubes used between the heat exchangers and flapper valves? It seems that may allow sound to diffuse into the long similar to the original paper/fiber tube. confused24.gif
