How about a list of things that need to be sent out for machining, etc.

I am thinking....

heads - porting, 12mm plug mod, valve job
case - align bore

What else?

thanks,

I could be wrong... but you SHOULDN't need an align bore... if you really do... you may want to find another case... I could be way off... but I think type 1s are the ones that need an align bore...

Wasn't there and availibility / expense problem with align bore bearings?

You really won't know until you tear it down and measure everything.

Also

- Balance all rotating components incl pistons and rods

What else?

heads - porting, 12mm plug mod, also valve job, SSvalves, guides

case - align bore? Only if it needs it, I'd find a better case.

Flywheel -resurface

rods -big end and bushings

crank -polish or regrind, gears pulled

These engines are all approaching their 30th birthday... Align bore is becoming moe and more needed..

Done right the case is BETTER than the factory did it. I solve the center saddle issues that the factory did not solve.
