Hi all,

I was wondering what the Spider in the CIS manifold (see pic) does and if it is needed. My guess is that it distributes the startup enrichment fuel and makes the car run smoother when cold than without it. I am thinking about making a custom manifold and was just wondering how much detail you guys think I need to add. No emissions required.

Thanks,

D

The spider was added in 1980 to better distribute cold start fuel. Earlier models didn't have it. I will not add it.
