A newbie and looking for advice/recommendations on shipping a car. One shipper better than another etc.. Have been querying various companies and getting high prices. Uncovered shipping is fine.

I recently used Direct Express Auto Transport (http://www.autotransportdirect.com/) to ship my 914. They had very competitive prices and the driver arrived ahead of schedule. I would use them again. Two years ago I had a good experience with FedEx/Passport. Expensive but they did the job perfectly. Covered transport was important to me.

I used Direct Auto Shippers a couple of years ago from Cali to KY. At that time it was very reasonable. Didn't have any problems out of them. I would use them again providing they weren't out of line with their prices these days.
