My seats are light gray and had oil spots all over the cushions. Sense I'm strapped for cash right now I just painted the fabric black ( not the sides ) let me know what you think. I used Krylon Satin H2O Latex brand and it was dry within 15 minutes. I also sprayed some carpet. The pictures don't do it justice. smile.gif

Finely took my rockers off, looks good and I also poked around with a screwdriver.

You have to understand that you also paint all of your clothes with the same paint. It really works well until you have to visit someone without that paint scheme...

Painted a brown vinyl seat black with vinyl paint. That came out good. Never tried painting fabric. As far as the carpets, I posted how I dyed them. Think I would have tried that first on fabric seats.

Wouldn't a dye be more permanent and not so inclined to rub off on clothes?

Back in the day we did complete interiors that way. Leather and cloth.
