my teener has what seems to be an original targa top, except for the fact that it has no texturing on it, none whatsoever. It is completely smootth and looks totally slick with the rest of the black car- was it sanded smooth? was it an aftermarket top?

just curious

or all the paint chipped off going so fast.

The only aftermarket top I know of was the Saratoga top, which was a tinted transparent plastic. And fit poorly, and leaked like a seive. And goes for $500-$1000 or more on evil-bay for some unknown reason.

I'm thinking your top was sanded by a PO.

or a sun roof in a tt. all i could think of was "why"? had to be a joy when the seal went south. like water getting in isn't a big enuf problem in the pacnw.

what is the point of a sunroof when the whole top comes off.....anyway thanks for alll your responses. THat saratoga top that DD mentioned.....why do they go for so much money? i see em on evilbay occasionally....
