I'm not sure why I am starting this thread without having taken pictures because I know Gint will be here in a minute to insert the THIS THREAD IS WOTHLESS WITHOUT PICTURES smiley..
Anyway, After last weeks knee surgery I have been only able to spend a few minutes at a time in the garage... So it took me about three weeks to redo my sail fin vinyl. I have a very nice rear targa pad that has two 3" to 4" flares in it... When I took off the targa pad, I knew it would be a few days at least until I got it all put back together so I wrapped the pad tightly in one layer of packing tape facing outward (to keep adhesive off the vinyl) and one layer of tape the normal way. Last night when I finally could spend 10 minutes standing to put it back on, I unwrapped it. The flaring, at least for now - is gone. Your mileage may vary but it worked for me!

Sadly Jeff, I think I have three digital cameras and an old Canon 35mm as well as two camcorders, one that it is totally digital...
Back on topic - I wonder if this will last? It flattened it out pretty nicely.

No way finally we to train wreck your thread,
with a totally unrelated picture.
and without pictures we will never know how long it will last.
did you use the blue tape ?
ConeDodger
Mar 8 2009, 11:16 AM
Well there you go! Now the thread has a pic and is no longer totally worthless!
No blue tape on the targa bar. I used clear packing tape. I did of course use the blue tape for the masking on the sail panels!

I used the skins of not more than two black vinyl puppies not varying in shade and born of the same vinyl bitch. The entire lineage must be purebred vinyl with nothing but black offspring for the last six generations.

Looks like a Blue Heeler or Australian Cattle dog (same thing). Val and I have one....almost too smart for their own good.

Blue heeler= Crazy assed dog!
I had one and it was a great dog, but it ate light bulbs, stole neighbors shoes from a mile away and even ate spark plugs and soda cans!
They are VERY, VERY smart and full of energy.. They have to run or they get bored and destroy shit!

Unless you get their "alter-temperment" like we got...super timid...but sneaky ass hell. He will drag things on to the lawn and blame our Lab for it....

Blue heeler mixed with somethin... else. Rescued from a kill shelter and no one knows for sure what else is in there. She looks mostly like blue heeler, but too much white. Curiosity is going to drive me to have a DNS test done. Vet says they can tell you what's in a mixed breed.
She's a smart dog. About 3 months old. Sits and stays already. Stubborn streak too. This is going to be fun. And I'm losing weight. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
