The white gasket strip? AA sells them.

I found that they were too thick and my tail lights stuck out. I eliminated them and used a very small bead of silicone.

Yes, the Doc has them. I got a set from him not too long ago. Use a wide screw driver and they'll work fine.
I agree with 6Freak; good luck changing your next burnt out bulb.

What about 3M Butyl tape? Shouldn't have the acid problems of silicoln.

yes on the shelf. We duplicated the original ones which were more pillowed that old shrunken ones. These new ones will shrink also so put them in with a screwdriver and install and let the shrinking begin!

Got mine from AA and put them in last week. It went quick and easy with a broad screwdriver.

You guys shouldn't assume he applied the silicone to the lens and then installed it to the housing. I'm guessing he applied the silicone to the lens, let it dry overnight and then installed. That would be fine and removable.

That butyl tape(LIKE TAR) is a nightmare to remove if so desired and it makes for hard lense removel as well..But i do think its ok around the lense buckets its about the only thing thats available anymore for the buckets..right?? if there something better let me know

I know this sounds crazy, but a thin bead of cheese whiz around the perimeter
will seal it up nicely. Get the real Kraft stuff, not the cheapo off brand. You
can enjoy whatever is left after the repair with a nice box of wine.

Works only if smoothed out with a chop stix.

Check out the stuff they use to hold screens in. It's a thin rubber bead, and at least one size it comes in is close to the same size as the stock gasket.

I too am looking for something to seal the bucket portion of the rear signals , someone suggested that they RTV'ED thier buckets , but personally I prefer the silicone to be inplants , just feels better !!!
