What is the normal oil pressure reading for:

Warm engine at normal speeds?

Warm engine at idle?

Does Temp gauge indicate oil temp or cylinder head temp, and what is the normal operating temp in F or C?

What is the preferred 914 repair manual?

Hi, Welcome to the club.

1----30-50 psi
2----20 or more
oil temp on stock gauges. oil should be no more than 250 ish...that is hot.

Haynes manual is pretty good, using search here is very helpful.
A set of factory manuals is really the best...

Thank you very much. I tried to search for oil pressure but didnt come up with anything and my dad was pressuring me for an answer so thank you for the aid. He still wishes to know if the temp is from the cylinder head or oil.

oil temp.
If its all stock gauges (I would guess it is)

There is no cylinder head temp gauge on these cars.

Rule of thumb for most cars:

You want at least 10 PSI per 1000 RPM with the engine warm.

Up until the pressure relief valve opens, at least.

The exact pressure depends on a lot of factors, from oil temp to oil pump condition to bearing clearances to oil viscosity...
