It was a pretty hard knock up here in Oakland. But then again, my butt is sitting right on top of the Hayward fault ...

I was in a building in Santa Clara and felt a small shock and gentle rolling for about 15 seconds. Not a biggee but got your attention for sure.

Isn't that the fault that completely leveled Hayward twice ?

Isn't that the fault that completely leveled Hayward twice ?
The 4.3 tremor today was from the San Andreas Fault near Morgan Hill. On the whole I'd rather have a few small ones than one like we had in '89!

Actually, it was on the Calaveras fault, which splits off into the Hayward fault just north of San Jose ...
