I know a V8 conversion needs taller gears for hwy driving at what point in HP and TQ do you need to regear a trans for a big 4 or a six?I am talking street driving I know racing is different.

I've got ~300 HP and ~270 TQ and i'm running a stock 901.
It's just fine for normal street driving, a blast for AX and a bit short for the big track. I can hit the rev limiter in 5th with ease.

I changed the gearing in mine to make it a little easier to drive. The longer gears feel much more in tune with the V8
