I have a 1974 914 1.8L that is for sale. I'm moving to florida and need to part with it. It's been a great car, drove it for many years (summers only) but has been sitting in storage over the last 2 years. Here is a quick run down on its condition:

Good
All new paint
New Brakes, Rotors, Tires (though it has been sitting on the tires for a year)
New Clutch and transmission seal
Body is in good shape (no dings, dents, or visible rust)

Bad
Some light rust underneath
Leaks a little oil from the engine

Looking to sell for $4000 OBO. Must be willing to pick up vehicle from storage in Cleveland, OH.

I'll post pictures of the vehicle tonight to the forum. I'm happy to answer additional questions, take more pictures of specific areas, etc!

What's the rust situation as far as battery tray, hell hole, longs, etc?

Interior in good shape? Any cracks on dash or seats?

Are the trunks nice? Any rust?

Mileage?

Battery tray is rusted over most of its surface but still very sturdy. I apologize for not knowing what you mean about the hell hole/longs but if you tell me i can take pictures of them. I have many more pictures as well i can send you. PM me with your email address.

Interior and trunks are both in great shape, no rust under carpets, etc. Two very small cracks in the seats, but nothing on the dash.
