I did a valve adjustment yesterday and today i am going to time the motor. I have read through the pelican tech article and understand the 1.7L motor is timed at 3500rpm not idle, my question is where on my fan is the timing mark? I noticed two red marks on the fan yesterday doing the valve adjustment. when i put the motor at TDC for Cyclinder 1(dis. rotor pointing at notch in distributor) one of the red marks lined right up with the v notch in the housing. However, the next red mark was about two or three fins away to the left. Is this my timing mark? do i line this second red mark up with the v notch in the housing to time the motor correctly? Thanks everyone!!!!

SLITS
Your timing mark is 52.5 mm to the right of the TDC mark as you face the fan .
