Okay, so I am working, riding around and I see a Teener parked along side the road. I get off my motorcycle and knock on the door of the house the teener is parked in front of. I meet the guy (Mac) who owns the teener. He tells me the story of his car and tells me he is thinking of selling it and that he needed to fix it up a bit. I told him that if he needed anything to just let me know and I will try and help him out. I commented on how much I liked the Fuch wheels on his car (no curb rash and in excellent condition).
Couple months pass and I run into him again and he has a For Sale sign on the car. He tells me that he wanted to sell the car and asked if I had some of the parts that he needed that I would sell to him. He needed the center cushion, driver's outside door handle, turn signal seals, some chrome trim and other small bits. I tell him no problem.
The next day I bring Mac the items he needs and told him that he did not owe me anything. These items were from a parts car that was given to me and I didn't feel right taking money for them. He couldn't believe it and thanked me to no end.
Time passes and Mac calls me up and asks if I would be interested in trading my Empi's with his Fuchs and of course I said "SHIT YEA." Mac told me that he no longer wanted the car and if I wanted to trade the rims we had to do it fast before anyone wanted to buy the car with the Fuchs on them. So I met Mac at the tire place and told him that I would pay for all the mounting and balancing of all the tires and he would not have it. He insisted on paying for half and of course I did not want him to do that. I told Mac that the rims he had were in near perfect condition and would probably help sell the car. He didn't care. He told me that when I gave him all the parts he needed, he could not believe that I didn't want any money for them and he wanted to return the favor.
Well here are the pics of my Empi's to Fuchs. I just need to paint the bronze to black. Thanks Mac for the trade. Again, sorry this post is so long.
