After thinking about this I can probably just trim the hole and fit the piece in and it will be a cleaner repair than tearing it out at the seams. So maybe the repair piece doesn't need to include the flanges afterall.

Charlie, I have a front trunk floor I've cut out of another car. This is specifically cut to replace the normal A/C repair....

Thanks for all the fast replys. A member has done this the way I want to do it and he will cut a floor out to meet my needs after he described how he did his for a very reasonable price including shipping.
