Hi all,
I'm looking for an programmable Ignition unit for my 6er.

Now I found the MSD 6AL-2 box.

Knows anyone this one and can tell me his experiences with it.

Thanks smilie_flagge6.gif

I have some ignition questions also. I want to run a shift light and I don't want a tach. So all this is good for is a bump. I know some people a running the 6AL-2

I guess you have to give a little more info as to what you are looking for. The 6al-2 is a capacitive discharge ignition. It will provide a hotter and longer spark. It also has a rev limiter.

For a shift light, there are plenty of stand alone units, that you can dial in the rpm, and it will light when it hits that rpm.

I run an MSD shift light (a 6AL too....non-programable). The good news is they both use the same pill to set their limits.
That said, I see the light....sometimes. I still drive by the limiter or short shift by ear when I know I'm gonna have to it at some point.
