why did they change the guage cluster in 74? ....or was it '75? How are you supposed to tell if your temp is getting hot with a light only?
Spoke
Early cars did not have a temp gauge unless it had a center console.

If you're thinking of a "light" (as in idiot light on the dash), that light is an oil pressure, not temperature, light. And you're not thinking the EGR light is temp either are you?

I'm guessing they're thinking of the brake warning light. MOST 914s of ANY year didn't have the temp in the left gauge. The much more common temp gauge is in the center console.
