Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Is it just from years of dirty oil rushing over it?
The motor was rebuilt from the bearings out, about 2000 miles ago. Just pulled this to replace the crush washer. then noticed this wear. The wear looks old.
Think I should replace it?
Thanks all'

I can't imagine why that wear would matter to the car. It has very little to do and rubs on nothing.

Unless I am not understanding what you are showing me.

I agree that it does not rub on anything. Thats why I'm wondering where the wear came from? Your also right that it prolly won't matter to the car.
I'm just curious...
