Title says it all!

I am trying to loosen the two 22mm nuts that hold the rear control arm pivot point to the car's suspension console.

I assume they are righty tighty & lefty loosey.

Do I need to heat them up a tad to free them? Already used penetration oil on them with no luck. Is there a trick to this?

Thanks in advance!!! confused24.gif

Gorilla Wrench?

I haven't had the problem with my cars, but I don't live in the soggy side of nowhere.

Self tightening ..... I don't think so ..... self locking is the term I think is correct.

I guess the easiest is with a cutting torch or a cutoff wheel if the impact won't do it. You can blow the side of the nut off without hurting the threads. Also they make nut splitters. If the nut is that rusty the shaft inside is probably also pretty bad.

You're using a 22mm wrench right? Not an adjustable wrench. Nothing special about them. Just use the right tools and push/pull hard.

Thanks for the hints!
I will give them a try!
