I'm planning on installing a front mounted oil cooler on the '71 914/6 2.7 (converted from a 1.7 by the PO).

What are my options?

The car is currently running a Mark Stephens oil tank.

Should I use hard lines? Rubber lines? SS braided rubber lines? Should I just run the lines along the pasenger side rocker?

I'm planning on using a BMW M5 oil cooler that I have lying about. Where can I source a shroud for the cooler ala 914GT?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks to Geoff (Bleyseng) for stopping by the Elliott Bay Motorsports Club gathering last Tuesday. You others Seattle 914ers missed out! Catch you next month!

You can buy the copy of the GT shroud from Paterick motorsports. Call BradR to get the skinny or JP as he has run the lines.
Usually though the heat tube on the passenger side and I have seen it done with braided line so it can flex.
I would do a search on this BBS Edddie as this has been covered a few times in the last year.
