Where is the stock oil temperature sending unit on a 1974 2.0L?

When you pull the taco plate, the oil comes with it too, right?

yupp, you found it!

notice:
if you want to remove the cover plate to get to the sending unit,
you have to unbolt the whole thing!
meaning, you needa drain the oil first, otherwise you will get a VERY quick oil-drain wink.gif

It under the cover plate in a second plate sealed with a large O-ring. Outer cover plate is not shown .Steve
