For Sale: 1972 Porsche 914 1.7

Most of the hard work has already been done on this one. Not a perfect car but a great driver. Everything works, 25 mpg mix use or 30 highways. Dual 34ict Weber carbs. Have complete FI system uninstalled but will include. Not sure there is a ‘rust free’ 914; this one has no rush holes, longs are good, hell hole has surface rust as does the front trunk but no structural issues related to rust. $5800.

Well it sure looks purdy!

....but isn't 25 mph - 30 mph kinda slow - even for a 1.7!?? av-943.gif

....'specially after all that work you've put into it!!!! lol-2.gif

maybe ya shoulda started with a "real" 2.0!? shades.gif

Hi Tim - I did not do the carb conversion, when I bought the car it was already done. I bought the FI system with the intent on coverting it back to stock. It is posible and has been done, I just never got to it. I have everything needed to do the coversion and will include it with the car.

Thanks

In the pic that shows the CV boots, it appears that they don't have retaining clips/rings holding the boots tight.

My '74 has the same issue and as a result, has thrown a lot of CV grease all over anything in line with the boots.

Unless those are a different type of boots and don't require retaining rings, that would be my guess. Mine is much messier.

By the way - LOVE Adriatic Blue. That's a beautiful car.
