Full Version: 911 front suspension

Is there any particular advantage to going with a later front suspension(let's say '84 carrerra and newer) or are they all about equal in strength. Lets say for the sake of the argument that price is not a concern for now.

later models have the aluminum cross-member.
they also have factory bushings and shocks that are less old. wink.gif

i got a '86 carrera frontend, including shocks and everything.
if you don't already have a sway-bar, get the stock underbody sway bar that comes with it.
it's not adjusteable, but it's much better than none.

you'll get the nice vented rotors and all.
i like the fact that it's over 10 years newer than a more contemporary 911 suspension from the early '70s ...
