Hey all im new to the forum and i am working on a 73 914 and i cant seem to figure out how to ajust the E-break... ive ajusted the cables and the screw on the caliper but when i pull the E-break it wont lock the caliper.... any info on this guys?? any ideas thanx...

You could have a caliper that's corroded and doesn't move. Make sure than when you pull the ebrake handle, it's moving the arm on the caliper. Also, set the venting clearances in the rear. IIRC, the manuals are wrong and you need to set them at 0.004".

If all that is okay, you need to adjust the cables at the drivers side of the engine bay, near the floor. Loosen the nut and unscrew it more. Recheck your venting clearance when you done.

Pop the arm with a light tap of a hammer and see if it moves.

Set venting clearance.
