I believe that the motor is lighter than a type IV by ~20 lbs. That is for an N/A motor itself, when you add the turbo, intercooler, etc., it might be about the same.

My back....Umm, legs tell me the WRX engine is heaver with all the extras bolted on to it. The intercooler full of water adds a bit too.
