Need some advice.

I was under the impression that if you removed the HE, the drivers axle/CV could be removed without removing the starter. When I did so, I had interference from the side-shifter/rod, and ended up removing the starter anyway.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Jim

Are you just pulling the CV? I usually just pull the whole side. Trailing arm & all. No issues getting it out that way & only like 4 more nuts smile.gif Plus your probably due to bleed your brakes anyway right?

I'm replacing the bearings, and the axle did come out, I just wondered whether it was possible without removing the starter.
