The two rubber hoses that come out of the back of the steering wheel. How do they find their way to the spare tire and the two squirters?

Are you wanting to go back "stock" with the washer? Are going back stock with everything else?
The reason I ask is have you thought about using a 12v washer pump? There are options. You could use a 924 wiper switch and get the washer when you pull back on the stalk. Just one option with using a 12v pump.....

This is far from an original car, but I don't want the electric pump. I'm not too worried about the "performance" or "lack of" of the tire pressure pump, but I'd like to hook it up for looks.

I undersand. I take it that your car is a '73 +? I know you're going back in with new washer hose, but they have been known to break with age and you get a floor board full of washer fluid......

One hose goes to the washer res, bottom outlet.
The other hose goes to a t fitting that is right behind the fresh air box.
the other two sides of that t fitting go to the washers.

the pressure hose goes from the tire to the top fitting on the res cap.

I dont remember where they penetrate the cowl, but use grommets.
There is fluid in the line up at the steering wheel.

The hose that goes to the tire goes in BEFORE you put in the gas tank..there is a fitting low down on the front wall.

I believe there is a hole in the trunk/gas tank bulkhead in the lower right side (pass side) right before the trunk slopes down.

Where do the two hoses come thru the dash? Is it the hole above the cables for the heater control?

I haven't had a 914 with that hook up for many years, but looking at mine I'd say that is where it is. A factory grommet might can still be had, or use a home made one.

There is a bout 1" hole that has a rubber gromet molded for all the cables for the fresh air and the windshield washer lines. Its right behind the fresh air controls high up just below the underside of the dash.

Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone has physical diagram of the complete set up for a 1973.

I believe there are some connections missing from when the car was stripped down at the body shop and want to get this sorted before the fuel tank goes back in.

I'm good with the hose from the spare to the reservoir and the section with the right and left nozzle with T-connector in the middle. Also have several lines through the bulkhead that I am not sure of the routing.

No guarantee this is correct, but this the way it was when I disassembled it. This is a 74 car. It may be hard to see the hoses, but there is two. One going and one coming. They routed behind the gauges and hooked up under the steering column to white connectors which were attached to the hoses going into the column control valve. I replaced the hoses going to the base of the column , but not the the ones inside column. I doubt that I will ever put water in washer or use it but replaced hoses.

The hole that the hoses are going thru are almost directly above the heater control wires which I think you can see. There was no grommet on the car for the water hoses , but suspect that there was at one time.
