I am installing a 3.2 into my '74 914 and it originally came with A/C. The A/C hasn't worked for years and is taking up room in the front trunk. I figure it is time to either remove it or make it do something. Problem with removing it is there is a large hole under it.

The condenser core is 20" wide, 10" long and 2" thick, but stands 2.5" tall with the mounting bracket. I was thinking of replacing it with an oil cooler of about the same size. Any suggestions on a cooler. I was hoping to use an off the shelf size if it is out there. I was planning on using AN-12 fittings.

Better than a sharp stick in the eye. It's all about airflow thru the coils. The other system with the fan mounted on top might have been better (Don't remember if yours is DPD or VPD.
