So I had some surface rust and used Ospho on it. I left it to dry overnight, and there is a sticky residue left on the metal.

Is that normal? Do I need to sand that off? Wash it off?

What should I do?

TIA

When I used it, I cleaned off the sticky residue with denatured alcohol (IIRC) that I bought from Home Depot.

Just wash it off with water. Yes, water ...
