I'll get a couple more pics pointing at a wall. The angle between high and low just seems rather large.
I might have to aim my headlights with my camera phone, they are just too bright when they refract off the wall. The white trailer in the second picture is a couple hundred yards away.

What lights are they (Hella, Cibie, etc.)?
I think Dan Stern's site talks about that problem with some brands . . . .
Dan has a boat-load of good info on his site.
Hope this helps,

I bought the same ones. Never seem to adjust correctly. It's like they have a black hole in the middle.

Are you running fog lights/driving lights with them?
and...
think the black hole might be from that silly octagon in the middle of the housing to hide the bulb?

Just put the pilot fog lamps in. They ROCK. And I think you are correct on the bulb cover. I just can't seem to adjust my eyes to that "white" bulb. Think i'll go get some std halogens and try them.

I adjust my headlights in front of my garage with the door closed. I'll use a towel to cover one light to isolate the one I'm adjusting.
